I feel like a need a shower after that one. I don't know if anyone else if familiar with the country song "In Color" by Jamey Johnson but it would fit this aspect of the book for me from a professional level. I am writing my review using my real name because I don't like to hide behind alias ones. I have to admit that I was very interested in reading this for shallow reasons. It was intense and definately interesting for all the wrong reasons. I definately have empathy for all the main characters in the book although the author not only betrayed her best friend, she made a spectacle about it professionally, and now forever marking her stamp with a book. A person once told me that there are three sides to every story, her story-his story- and the truth. I hope that this "fictional story" never happens to the author and then is forever tormented when the "other woman" writes a book about it. I feel like this was an explanation to all about the "fictional" events that occured in this book. I thought ER's had strict attendance policies yet this author called in 3 times to sleep with a married man and left work mid-shift twice due to her "distrought". Interesting, I guess it pays to have friends in high places. After the dust settles, this will probably be collecting just that.

Home Again A J Haynes 9781424135271 Books Reviews

I read this book and think it's great. It seems like a real life story about a woman who becomes strong thru the trials of love.
Addison learned from her mistakes, it's too bad Emily didn't.
Way to go Addison Haynes!!! I love reading books, I have a hard time putting down. Falling in and out of love is a part of life, and sometimes we pick the wrong men. I'm glad this character walked away a stronger woman. Addison could teach Emily a few things.
Wow - what a page turner! Sam's pursuit of Addie after his wife, Emily, leaves him for another man. Addie believing she has found her true love. The constant stalking of Emily after Sam when she finds out he is now with Addie, who had been her friend. Every page was filled with exciting events. For a first time writer, great book A. J. Haynes!
This is the most poor excuse for a novel that I have ever read!! This story lacks everything that would make it such, a story line, a plot, basic grammar. Appears to be the journal of an angry ex lover that has yet to be able to swallow the truth, he chose her, not you! I would spend my $10 on a lottery ticket, you have better odds of winning then enjoying this...
I sure hope that "Addie" is a better nurse than she is an author, although I find it doubtful!
I had the pleasure of meeting A.J.Haynes at her book signing and purchased her book.. I loved the book, well written, entertaining and a great read. Will definitely recommend this book to family and friends.
Wow is all I can say..... Adison is the most pathetic excuse for a woman! In this "fictional" setting Adison is obsessed with a married man who clearly didn't want her and in the end she looks like the single white female stalking and obsessed with Sam. I think it is pathetic that she would beg someone to be with her and in the end his decision was clear and I believe the right one. Emily. This book is poorly written and the run on sentences are some of the best that I have ever seen. A.J. Haynes should take a basic college English class prior to writing any more on the professional level. I would strongly encourage everyone to not waste your money on this book, it was truly pathetic.
Within the first chapter of this book, I googled the publishing company because I thought there is no way any publishing company in the RIGHT MIND would allow something to be published without proper editing. Go figure. It's a self publish.

Dear AJ Haynes,

With that being said, I think the asking price is beyond what the book is worth. Luckily we bought ours from a friend for a fraction of the cost, and I plan to just give it away to someone I know that wants to read it.

Here's the plot
Girl falls in love with bestfriend's soon to be ex-husband. Bestfriend gets angry and tries to win soon to be ex-husband back. Ex-husband plays both of them like violins--and neither of them seem to ever figure it out.

This book could have been improved had
The relationship with the bestfriend been elaborated on.
The lead character had common sense.
More detail had been provided.

The book is filled with a lot of I went to the house. I put on a pot of soup. I ate the soup. Then so and so calls me to go to a bar.

Speaking of bars, let's play a drinking game.
1.) Everytime Addison goes out with a guy, or talks about it--take a shot
2.) Everytime Addison goes shopping, to a game, or to a bar with friends--take a shot (does she EVER stay home?)
3.) Everytime she mentions wine....ummm *hiccup*

It's no wonder she got in the situation she did with the lifestyle that she's living. If I had been one of her friends I would have told her that she was an idiot. In fact, if you ask me- both her AND Emily are idiots.

Unfortunately this book rings true to real life, and sets a bad example for other women out there. The only smart move Addison had in the whole book was her actions in the end. It's just such a sad story that it took her that long and she had to go through all that for what her parent's should have taught her self worth-- which seems to be seriously lacking through this whole book.
